I like to think of Body Harmony as more than just a chiropractic office, and not quite a "spa." From my treatment perspective as a chiropractor of 32 years, I fall somewhere in the middle between "clinical" and "woo-woo." If you look through my website, you'll see that I am passionate about helping my patients live a healthier, happier life in many ways. Beyond just a place to come "get your back cracked", I like to empower my patients with information on what they can do, once we have them lined up and balanced, to take care of themselves to keep feeling great. Optimal Health! From fitness and nutrition information, to ergonomic training, to creating a customized yoga-based routine to help them counter the effects of the desk job they have.
I FREQUENTLY recommend that my patients received targeted, therapeutic massage from my therapists in conjunction with their chiropractic care to help speed the impact of their adjustments. The muscles and bones ARE connected after all! It's not called the musculo-skeletal system (with a dash) for nothing!
So I frequently refer MY patients to be YOUR clients. And once they fall in love with your massage, they typically become repeat customers! Likewise...have you ever been frustrated by those massage clients who can't seem to improve massage after massage after massage? I will help you learn how to identify when a client has a skeletal component to their chronic muscular issues, and whether they might benefit from chiropractic care as part of their wellness routine. It's win-win-win for everyone.
As the doctor 'face' of Body Harmony, I present and market the massage portion of the business as "therapeutic" vs. "spa". Clients are looking for, and expect a different kind of care here, something unique to the massage they often find at a typical spa or nail salon. If a client WANTS an hour-long relaxation, full-body massage, they certainly can get it. BUT... if she/he comes in looking for 30 minutes on their hip-flexors, IT band, and lower back because that's where they struggle in their fitness regimen, that's what makes us special! Communication between the client and therapist is KEY. In my 1 1/2 years in Clarendon, I have found this to be a unique and successful marketing strategy. It's what we did for over 18 years in my previous office in Norfolk, Virginia,
Sound like your cup of tea? Let's MEET! ~ Dr. Ellen

in a professional, respectful, low-drama environment.
Minimum of two years experience with strong skills in deep tissue/therapeutic techniques. We offer:
We will have sidewalk-signage out from as well as on both the pedestrian-heavy Fairfax Dr. and Wilson Blvd. We are also expanding out outreach and marketing to the niche of on-site corporate chair massage. Companies, in their efforts to bring employees back in from remote work, are actively looking for ways to enhance their corporate culture and employee wellness programs.
We will expand our therapist staff as needed. My previous office in Norfolk, Virginia, offered a variety of services 7 days a week, and we typically employed 4-6 therapists at a time.
Tell me a little something about yourself and why the descriptions of
Body Harmony of Arlington and the job you are interested in caught your eye.
